From the Gateshead uplands to the Tyne Delta, The Lounge Lizards have been regulars on the Tyneside R'n'B circuit for over twenty years. Originally formed in 1996, the band has seen a few changes in line-up over the years and coming from very different musical backgrounds (Blues, Rock 'n' Roll, Jazz Funk and even Punk), the current line-up use their extensive range of musical references, diverse backgrounds and high levels of musicianship to create The Lounge Lizards' own unique brand of Rocking Rhythm and Blues.  

 

Sets include a range of upbeat Rhythm & Blues by artists such as The Animals, Canned Heat, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Slim Harpo, Wynonie Harris, Hank Ballard, Wilko Johnson, The Spencer Davis Group, Little Walter, T Bone Walker etc.
